2015/09/30 Press release

The coordination of the NutriNet-Santé study published a press release further to the publication of an article in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity on the motives for dish choices during home meal preparation. The researchers have investigated individual motives when choosing dishes to be prepared during weekdays and weekends in about 53 000 volunteers of the NutriNet-Santé study.

Although culinary practices have strongly evolved over time, few data are available on contemporary dish choices during meal preparation. Five dimensions of dish choice motives emerged: healthy diet, constraints, pleasure, specific diets and organization.

The healthy diet factor was the most important on weekdays and weekends. Pleasure had a higher score than constraints on weekends while the opposite was observed on weekdays. Organization was more important on weekdays than on weekends. Dish choice motives appeared to be significantly associated with socio-demographic and cooking practice characteristics.

We hope that these initiatives will result in others. If you want to be an ambassador of the study, do not hesitate!

campaign of recommandations

As of today, there are more than 263 000 Nutrinautes registered in the NutriNet-Santé study, we have reached half of our finale goal of 500 000 volunteers!
But we can't relax in our efforts. So the team of the study launched a huge campaign of recommandations and turn to you for help.
Indeed, if each Nutrinaute is able to initiate the registration of at least one person, we will reach our objective!

We invite you to circulate the information to your family, your friends, your collegues...

March 28th 2014 - second Fitness' Night

Friday March 28th, 2014, the 1st year students of the BTS SP3S, services and benefits of health and social sectors of the lycée Saint-Joseph in Saint-Martin-Boulogne attended the 2nd Fitness' Night from 19p.m to 22p.m in the Decathlon store of the city.
Students are working to promote the NutriNet-Santé study to the population of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and especially the Boulonnais. Indeed, it appears that the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region is under-represented in the study.
We hope that this initiative and the actions that accompany it will generate a significant increase of registrations, first across the Boulonnais and then throughout the region.
Note that other communication activities will take place in the coming months.

The aim of this information system is to help the consumers to detect, at the time of purchase, the food the most favourable to the global nutritional balance and the health.
