2014/06/04 press release

June 4th, 2014, the coordination of the NutriNet-Santé study published a press release further to the publication of an article in the international scientific journal : Journal of Nutrition. Géraldine Camilleri (PhD student) and Sandrine Péneau (Researcher - Paris 13 university) highlighted, in the NutriNet-Santé cohort, the fact that emotional eating is a behaviour frequently observed in the population, particularly among women and the people presenting depressive symptoms.
The fact that emotional eating is associated with a stronger consumption of energy-dense snack food was also advanced, especially consumption of sweet-and-fatty food.
Let us note that this association is particularly strong at the woman's presenting depressive symptoms.




2014/04/02 - Students ambassadors of the NutriNet-Santé study

Wednesday 2nd April 2014, students-engineer of the Food and Health schooling of the Polytechnic Institute LaSalle Beauvais (60), Ambassadors of the NutriNet-Santé study and their teacher came to visit the coordination of the study in Bobigny (93). Officially launched on October 11th, 2013, le club of ambassadors has for main aim to promote the study and to make the peolpe sensitive to the question of the link between nutrition and health.

The students have organized or participated in several events in the Beauvaisis and others are planned in the coming months.
The engagement of the Beauvaisiens students has inspired others to do the same. Thus, at the initiative of a teacher at the Saint-Joseph college (Saint-Martin-Boulogne (62)), BTS SP3S
(services and benefits of health and social sectors) students have also decided to become ambassadors of the study .
We hope that these initiatives will result in others. If you want to be an ambassador of the study, do not hesitate!

campaign of recommandations

As of today, there are more than 263 000 Nutrinautes registered in the NutriNet-Santé study, we have reached half of our finale goal of 500 000 volunteers!
But we can't relax in our efforts. So the team of the study launched a huge campaign of recommandations and turn to you for help.
Indeed, if each Nutrinaute is able to initiate the registration of at least one person, we will reach our objective!

March 28th 2014 - second Fitness' Night

Friday March 28th, 2014, the 1st year students of the BTS SP3S, services and benefits of health and social sectors of the lycée Saint-Joseph in Saint-Martin-Boulogne attended the 2nd Fitness' Night from 19p.m to 22p.m in the Decathlon store of the city.
Students are working to promote the NutriNet-Santé study to the population of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and especially the Boulonnais. Indeed, it appears that the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region is under-represented in the study.
We hope that this initiative and the actions that accompany it will generate a significant increase of registrations, first across the Boulonnais and then throughout the region.
Note that other communication activities will take place in the coming months.

March 20th 2014 - Day of students initiative and commitment

The team of the NutriNet-Santé study was present Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Centre Universitaire des Saints Pères (one of the Paris Descartes University sites), which organized, this year again, a Day of students initiative and commitment.

The university incite the sutdents to participate as volunteer at the community service and enhance this commitment with a specific teaching unit which contribute to make their degree more united.

In the morning, the Pr. Serge HERCBERG took part in a round-table about nutrition.

In the afternon, members of the team were present on a stand in the colors of the study.
Students were able to learn more about the study, see demonstrations, give their email adress to join the study, watch instructionals videos or videos about past events.


2014/03/12 - Nutrinet-Santé press release

Following the publication of an article in the scientific journal PLOSONE, the coordination of the NutriNet-Santé study has published a press release on March 12th 2014. This article is about the shaped traffic lights nutritional information logos on the front of packages. It appears those logos are the one prefered by obeses, hypertensives and diabetics people.

A specific questionnaire on Internet developped by the team of Caroline Méjean (Researcher INRA at EREN, U1153 Inserm/Inra/Cnam/Université Paris 13) has assessed the understanding and the acceptability, in the Nutrinet-Santé study, of differents logos presenting a nutritional information.
The aim of this information system is to help the consumers to detect, at the time of purchase, the food the most favourable to the global nutritional balance and the health.


17/02/2014 - Grippenet

NutriNet-Santé researchers invite you again this year to participate to GrippeNet.fr, an Internet influenza surveillance system !

Since January 2012, an influenza information system named GrippeNet.fr is organised by the team of the Sentinelles network (UMR 707, Inserm -  Pierre and Marie Curie University) and the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS).
This system aims to collect directly from the French population epidemiological data related to influenza through the Internet. Every French adult can participate anonymously www.grippenet.fr ">in this project by registering on the site www.grippenet.fr
Participation does not require more than 5 minutes per week and able the collect of information that will help to understand influenza  better and the situation of this disease in France. This system is part of a larger European project : several countries have implemented a similar system (Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Ireland and Denmark). During the 2012-2013 season, more than 40.000 European participted in the surveillance.

2014/02/11 Bio NutriNet launching

February 11th 2014, Pr Serge Hercberg and Dr Emmanuelle Kesse-Guyot gave a press conference in Paris, in the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). They announced the launching of a new component of the NutriNet-Santé Study, which will study the consumption of food from the organic agriculture and its nutritionnal, economical, environmental and toxicologic impact : the BioNutriNet study.
This specific component will regroup at least 50.000 consumers of organic products and will be the largest study ever conducted on the consumption of food from organic agriculture. 

On this occasion, the new BioNutriNet protocol was presented and a call was made to recruit consumers of organic products (regular or occasional) and or conventional foods (to allow comparisons).
